Inventory
The Inventory screen lists the supplies you track: boxes, frames, treatments, feed, and anything else you keep. Each line shows how many you have, in that item's unit (8 strips, 20 pounds, 5 each). A line is marked low when the count drops below the reorder level you set for it. Open it from the menu: Inventory. It is the same screen on the phone and on the web.
You only see the items you added. Stinger's catalog has about forty common items, but a line appears only for something you keep, so a missing line never means you ran out.
Adding items
The first time, the screen explains itself and shows a large Add items button. After that, use ADD at the top.
- Tick the items you keep. Search by name, or scroll the lists (Equipment, Treatment, Feed, Other). Each item shows its unit.
- Tap Next. Enter how many of each you have. A blank count is 0.
- To get a low-stock warning, tap More: reorder levels and enter a level. You are warned when the count drops below it. Leave it blank for no warning.
- Tap Add. The lines appear, and Stinger says Tracking 3 items.
On a phone the list opens from the bottom of the screen; on a tablet or the web it opens in the middle. Only Close or Add closes it, so a stray tap does not lose what you entered.
Changing a count
Tap a line. Type the new count, or use + and − to step it, then Save. To set a reorder level or a supplier, tap the line's menu (⋮) and choose Reorder level & supplier.
Stop tracking an item
Tap the line's menu (⋮) and choose Stop tracking, or swipe the line to the left. Tap Undo if you change your mind. Nothing is deleted: the count, reorder level and supplier are kept. The item gives no low-stock warnings while you are not tracking it, and a warning that was open for it closes.
To track it again, tap ADD. It is at the top of the list, under Previously tracked, with its last count. That count and its reorder level are filled in for you.
Your own items
If something you keep is not in the catalog, tap ADD, scroll to the bottom and tap Item not listed? Add your own. Enter:
- Name. It must be new. If it matches a catalog item, Stinger says so. For example: "Apivar" is already in the catalog — add it from the list instead.
- Category: Equipment, Treatment, Feed or Other.
- Unit: each, lbs, kg, gallons, liters, frames or boxes. To use another unit, choose Type your own….
- A note (optional) and how many you have.
Your own item works like any other item. You can count it by voice, pack it on a loadout, and stop tracking it. It is listed under the CUSTOM tab.
Deleting your own item: use its menu (⋮) → Delete item. Stinger asks first, with the count, for example: Delete Smiths patties? You have 7 on hand. A deleted item leaves this screen, the Add list, the loadout Bring list and voice. Past loadouts keep the name they printed. Catalog items cannot be deleted; stop tracking them instead.
By voice
- "I bought 50 deeps." — adds to the count.
- "Used 10 formic pads." — takes away from the count.
- "Set deep frames to 200." — sets the count.
- "How many medium supers do I have?"
Stinger answers with the item's name and unit, for example: Removed 3 boxes of Smiths patties — now 9 on hand. Counting an item by voice also starts tracking it again if you had stopped, with its old reorder level.
Voice cannot create a new item. If you say something that is not in your inventory, Stinger asks which item you meant. Add it on the Inventory screen first with Add your own. Changing inventory, on screen or by voice, needs inventory permission (owners and warehouse managers have it). Without it you cannot add, change or stop tracking items, and some roles do not see the Inventory screen at all.
